Three ways to merge
Each rule set changes what you look for on the board. The habits you build in one get in the way in the next.
-
Powers of two
The classic: two equal tiles become one, worth their sum.
-
Powers of three
Three equal tiles become one. More room on the board, and every mistake costs more.
-
Fibonacci
Neighbours in the sequence merge, not equal tiles: 3 and 5 make 8.
Etudes: a set position, a goal, a few moves
Make 128 in four moves, or leave just five tiles on the board. No new tiles appear, so everything you need is already there – and every etude has an exact solution.
- 84 etudes in seven chapters, from 3×3 to Fibonacci on 5×5
- A hint shows the first move; after a miss, the game replays the solution
- A free etude of the day for everyone, longer towards the end of the week

One puzzle a day, the same for everyone
One board for every player and a single attempt: no restart, no undo. Share your result as a card and keep your streak of solved days going.
Challenge a friend
Send a link to your deal. Your friend plays the very same board and sees the score to beat – even without the game installed, right from the link.

Help when you’re stuck, and a look back when it’s over
Hints
Stuck? Tap the light bulb and an arrow suggests a move. Three hints per game, free; the daily puzzle and challenges stay hint-free, since everyone plays them with a single attempt.
Game review
After a game the app replays it and finds the move where it went wrong: what you played, and what would have been better. It all runs on your device.

Five boards, eight palettes
From a cramped 3×3, where every move counts, to a roomy 7×7. Each rule set and size keeps its own record and its own leaderboard.
Five palettes come with the game, three more with Tilefold Plus. The numbers on every tile are picked for contrast, so the board stays readable in any of them.
